We are staggering the start dates of all of our schools:
17th March - Atlantic Academy, Bideford College, Ilfracombe Academy, Egloskerry Primary & Launceston Primary School
24th March - Launceston College & Camborne Science and International Academy
31st March - Pool Academy & Altarnun Primary
The data from our previous MIS platforms (SIMS or Arbor) will be moved over to Bromcom
Registers will be taken on Bromcom instead of ClassCharts from the day your school starts using Bromcom*
*with the exception of Launceston College, which will continue with ClassCharts
Bromcom was the highest scoring MIS that came out of our extensive procurement process, detailed more in the section below.
Bromcom will provide us with a modern, centralised, and cloud-based MIS platform, allowing for:
Improved efficiency: Streamlined processes will mean a superior experience for all staff and especially those working in multiple schools.
Enhanced collaboration: Easier knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the trust.
We carried out a comprehensive procurement process that spanned nine months. The procurement process included stakeholders from all schools in the trust, the central team, procurement experts (Minerva), an MIS/Technical consultant (Neil Limbrick) and school MIS power users covering all key MIS areas.
The principals chose staff at each school to represent the following areas: timetabling, exams, attendance, data management, pastoral and IT
The key highlights of the procurement were the two rounds of demonstrations by the bidders, and two rounds of scoring, supported by Minerva and Neil Limbrick.
All stakeholders were invited to both rounds of presentations, we sought feedback from them, and they had the opportunity to ask questions at any point in the process. School engagement was high throughout the process.
The ITT scoring round was key to the final decision. This is where we asked 9 questions to each bidder. Each answer was rated from 1-5 by Minerva and Neil Limbrick. It was then reviewed by the core MIS team and moderated. From this, we ended up with a final three bidders to take forward to the final round.
Bromcom were the top of this scoring at that point, and after watching the demonstrations and further discussions, the scoring remained unchanged, meaning Bromcom remained the highest scoring MIS provider.
